pageMash Simplifies WordPress Page Managment
I recently discovered pageMash, an excellent plugin for WordPress by Joel Starnes. pageMash makes organizing your WordPress pages incredibly easy. If you have a page-heavy WordPress site, it is highly recommended. I set up the Articles and Buyers’ Guides for Tactics on the Tactics Grind last spring, and I really wish I’d known about pageMash at the time. We had three sections of pages, with about 10 pages each. I went through a couple of iterations before I came up with an organizational structure I was happy with. The amount of time I put into this would have been reduced by about 80% with pageMash.
pageMash is an AJAX based interface that allows you to drag-and-drop your pages from one parent to another. We’re currently using it on the Swellpath Interactive site, mostly for our Services section right now, but likely for the About section in the future. We’re not doing a whole lot of re-organization, but it pageMash provides a quick snapshot of the sitemap and page organization structure.I’d love to hear about plugins with similar functionality, and see if there is anything on par with pageMash. Until then though, I’ll be sticking with this useful enhancement to WordPress.
